The Creative Mile Art Trail
30 Aug – 1 Sept
The Creative Mile Brentford Art Trail (30 Aug – 1 Sept), is a wonderful event that transforms Brentford into a vibrant hub of artistic expression, bringing together the local community. This annual art trail features a diverse array of local artists showcasing their work in various mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media. The trail winds through Brentford, allowing visitors to explore the town’s streets whilst discovering the rich tapestry of creativity that flourishes within the community – and, of course, stopping at pubs along the way!
The Creative Mile enables art enthusiasts and collectors to purchase original works directly from the artists, giving you a chance to chat to the artists about their inspiration and work. As no galleries are involved, the artists receive the full amount of their sales.
Purchasing art from local creators is a meaningful way to invest in the cultural fabric of the area. Every sale directly impacts the artists, enabling them to continue their practice, invest in new materials, and participate in future exhibitions. It also fosters a sense of connection and appreciation between the artists and the community, as patrons become more than just buyers—they become advocates and supporters of local talent.
To participate, visitors can follow the trail map, available online and at various points along the route, which details the locations of participating artists’ studios and exhibition spaces.
