Barnes Art Fair

The Barnes Art Fair is part of the local cultural calendar and is so successful that it has doubled in size this year. More than 50 professional artists and contemporary painters, printmakers, sculptors and ceramists are taking part.
Some of the artists taking part include screen printer Hannah Bourne (top). Her wide interests include urban and architectural detail as well as interpretations of the natural world. She studied at the London College of Print.
Paul Rothera (middle) primarily uses watercolour and concentrates on illustrating buildings and the urban landscape. He teaches watercolour painting and assists in retreats for watercolour artists in Spain, France and Italy.
Sue Pearce (bottom) is known for her exquisitely detailed graphite drawings, inspired by texture and shape – of vegetables, fish, shells and funghi.
Katie James (below) grew up in Barnes and studied at Camberwell and Central St Martins Schools of Art. Most of her work is figurative and is she is renowned as a portrait painter (and dogs!) but also enjoys still life and landscapes.
