Come along to Barnes Fair’s 50th anniversary! This much-loved community fundraising event is Saturday, 12 July this year, 9.30am-5pm. This year there is more to see, shop, taste and enjoy than ever before. All funds raised will go towards supporting the work of the Barnes Community Association (BCA), helping to secure the future of the Fair and other community initiatives for years to come.
There will be around 300 carefully selected exhibitors, with something for everyone to enjoy, from fashion, jewellery and gifts to homeware and handmade items. Food and drink lovers can look forward to delicious offerings from local favourites, including The Crossing, The Brown Dog and The Nest, plus new for this year, Harty’s wine bar and The Guru, which brings bold Indian flavours from Castelnau.
Entertainment-wise, the DJ will be telling visitors what’s going on, whilst the BCA will be selling its famous Pimms all day. There will be live music from brilliant local bands and choirs on the bandstand. Plus, Punch & Judy shows, dance displays and the Victorian funfair.
Barnes Fair, held annually in Barnes, London, is one of the area’s most cherished community events. Dating back to the 1970s, it was established to celebrate local culture and raise funds for community projects. Organized by the Barnes Community Association, the fair takes place on Barnes Green and has grown into a major summer attraction. It blends traditional charm with modern entertainment, featuring craft stalls, live music, fairground rides, and a grand parade. The fair reflects the vibrant spirit of Barnes and its residents, drawing thousands of visitors each year while supporting local businesses, artisans, and charitable causes.
