The wonderful Barnes Food Fair is back by Barnes Pond on Saturday, 16 September.
Barnes Food Fair has a bevy of food delights ready to whet appetites: Italian, Caribbean, Moroccan, Thai and Portuguese. Street food vans will be available onsite for freshly cooked delicacies and a large marquee will house a host of foodie exhibitors – think vegetable-shaped rugs, plant-pot trompe l’oeil cupcakes and Cornish sea salt rum, to name only a few. Savills, Barnes is generously sponsoring Barnes Food Fair again and is looking forward to handing out their popular shopping bags to the first 1,000 visitors, to stash their goodies.
The BCA will be serving their famous Pimm’s all day at the event, together with a traditional fruit cup and all refreshments can be enjoyed in front of a selection of live bands playing guests through their gastronomic journey – local favourites Verity & Violet and Barnes Green Day will be returning and the only wandering ukelele band in SW London are popping by too!
The Barnes Community Association (BCA) was founded by its members over forty years ago, with an aim to bring residents together to support the social life of the village, and to promote, protect and develop its character and amenities. Today, it is run by its members for the benefit of all who live in Barnes. Join us and you will become part of an organisation committed to making our village an even better place to live, work and play.
Buy tickets on the day. More information at barnes-ca.org.
