Look out for Putney Bridge’s complete night light up. Low-energy eco-friendly LED lights are being installed in stages under the arches of the historic Grade II listed bridge. Local businesses and residents were keen for the bridge to be transformed at night, to attract new interest to the area and boost Putney’s night-time economy, particularly those on the riverside. The project is funded by levies from housing and property developers in the area, who are required to pay towards neighbourhood infrastructure schemes. Let’s hope the lights don’t disturb local wildlife at night.
