If you haven’t visited the Exotica exhibition at Kew – celebrating the unusual and the unfamiliar – take time to go. It’s a new collection of 30 paintings, depicting many exotic flowers such as waterlilies, lotus, water hyacinth and passion flowers. Most of these can be seen amongst the 50,000 living plants at Kew, but they originated in the southern hemisphere. From the smallest, delicate waterlily to the thorny giant waterlily, all are beautifully painted.
