More than £100k has been raised by the Richmond Voluntary Fund for local charities
Two local charities – Off the Record and Richmond Borough Mind – have been given a much-needed boost in these difficult times. The charities have been selected by the Richmond Voluntary Fund to receive more than £100k between them, all of which has been donated by locals since February.
Many charities have been struggling as fundraising activities have been put on hold during lockdown, so the donations will give a much need boost to both charities.
Off the Record provides a counselling service for young people, which has continued online through the pandemic. Richmond Borough Mind has been offering online workshops, focussing on the anxieties young people face, such as going to a new school following lockdown. They have also been providing peer mentoring to young carers.
