A selection of beautiful gardens around Ham Common. The gardens reflect the area’s diverse history, with traditional gardens of grand Georgian houses, to highly innovative contemporary schemes and charming cottage gardens. Each garden is around 100 yards long from the historic houses on Kew Green to the Thames towpath. Each garden has its own individual look, but with beautiful lawns, winding paths, climbing roses and clematis. Teas available. £8 garden group entry
29 May, 2-5pm: Stokes House, Ham TW10 7HR
Originally an orchard, this half acre walled country garden surrounding a Georgian house (not open) has roses, clematis and perennials, alongside mature wisteria, mulberries and yew. Teas available. £4
29 May, 2.30-5pm: 40 Chartfield Avenue, Putney SW15 6HG. £4
This garden was built from scratch in 2010, taking inspiration from the mature trees and sloping site. Evergreens frame the garden in contrast with swathes of perennials and grasses. Teas available.

Half acre garden of an Edwardian house (not open), established for more than 25 years. Several lawns with ponds and fountains, wildlife and a bird have. New gravel garden with planting to attract butterflies and wildflower meadow.

Dominated by two large cedar trees, this garden was re-designed in 2013. There is a wild garden with fruit trees, a vegetable garden with a ‘no dig’ policy, lawns and borders.

A large walled garden in a rural setting on Ham Common, with large herbaceous borders, box hedges, and orchard with wildflowers. Vegetable garden, knot garden, aviary and chickens. Teas available. £5

A town garden with minimalist layout. A writing shed offers a refuge. Topiary, pots, sculpture. £6
