Putney is to get a £4m boost in funding to improve its air quality and to make the area more appealing to visitors and locals. The Government has given £1m for Putney High St and the Council and Putney BID are contributing £3m. The funds will go towards redesigning the Lower Richmond Road junction, further improvements for cyclists and improving the link between the river and High St by extending Putney Embankment.
