Richmond Council: Providing a safe space
A new campaign film has been launched by Richmond Council, which encourages the public to help stop unacceptable behaviour towards women and girls, with advice on how to intervene in a safe way. The film shows a young woman on a ‘bad date’ and demonstrates how a bystander can confidently take action to help the situation. There is a joint initiative between Richmond’s Community Safety Service, Richmond Safer Neighbourhood Teams, Brtish Transport Police, SW Railway and Street Pastors. The Safe Space marquee is by Richmond Station on Fridays & Saturdays, 9pm-1am. More info and watch the two-minute film at: richmond.gov.uk
