There are many thriving local fairs and fetes locally – just pick a weekend!
Richmond May Fair – 11 May: 10am-5pm After a few years away, Richmond May Fair is back bigger and better, with a Victorian fun fair, charity and small business stalls, dog show, craft fair, live entertainment and plenty to eat and drink. richmondmayfair.co.uk
Ham Fair – 8 June: 11am-4pm Like Richmond May Fair, this Fair has been running for decades. Includes vintage and military vehicles, antiques, bric-a-brac, clothes, vintage and books. Plus children’s rides, school performances and the popular dog show. hamandpetersham.com
St Margarets Fair – 6 July: 12pm-6pm Held on Moormead Park, it’s a day of fun for all the family. The Fair started life in the late 70s and has a great range of music every year. The usual range of great stalls, food and drink, entertainment and dog show. stmargaretsfair.org
Barnes Fair – 13 July: 9.30am5.30pm This wonderful, rambling fair is spread out over Barnes Green, around the pond. With around 300 stalls, it’s said to be one of the largest fairs in London. Big selection of food and drink, lots to choose from the myriad of stalls, live music from the bandstand and displays from local schools and groups. barnes-ca.org
