Since Pilates Plus was founded in October 2001 by former ballet dancer Sarah Duley, the studio has gone from strength to strength and now offers Gyrotonic and Systematic Kinesiology sessions alongside the Pilates Studio Equipment classes.
‘Our values have remained the same as when we opened’ says Sarah. ‘We pride ourselves on giving caring tuition, tailored to the individual. Our group classes are a maximum of three people which allows us to ensure that we can focus our attention on the small details that make the difference, we believe this personal approach sets us apart from other studios.’
Studio 4 houses the Pilates studio with Reformer, Cadillac and Wunda chairs, plus our reception and lifestyle shop. Our shop sells exercise essentials and well- being gifts, many of which are British made, ethical and ‘give back’ in some way.
Studio 117 is a calm and spacious area dedicated to the Gyrotonic equipment. This form of movement is ideal for rehabilitation, helps with recovery from a range of injuries and can help with neurological conditions.
Our latest addition is the Kinesiology room, where one-to-one treatments tap into the biochemistry of the body enabling us to read levels of imbalance using muscle testing. Kinesiology can help with a variety of conditions from headaches to IBS, anxiety and insomnia.
