6 Sept – 12 Oct
An Israeli violinist is living in her trendy canal-side apartment in Amsterdam, nine months pregnant. One day an envelope is slipped under her door. It is an unpaid gas bill from 1944. Having felt happy in home, the mysterious bill awakens unsettling feelings of foreignness, alienation and identity and devastating stories of the past are reconstructed to make sense of the present. Maya Arad Yasur is a prize-winning Israeli playwright.
