Rambert School students are excited to return to the stage
Some of the highlights of a difficult year were the YouTube videos of renowned ballet dancers continuing to perform wherever they were – in their kitchens, in the park, on their balconies. For any dancer, the highlight is to be able to perform in front of an audience. Which is the students of Rambert Ballet School in Twickenham are so happy to be working towards their next production, Next Generation.
The pupils were supported by a dedicated staff throughout lockdown, meaning they could maintain their fitness and work on their technique through daily online classes and workshops in ballet and contemporary dance, whilst keeping up with critical studies lectures and seminars.
‘Friday Fresh’ classes, which enabled them to connect and be inspired by guest artists from around the world, continued throughout lockdown.
Next Generation is being performed at the Linbury Theatre Royal Opera House, 16-17 June. Tickets on sale from 7 May from the ROH: roh.org.uk
