Barnes Bookfest is gearing up to be a fantastic occasion. Bestselling author, Anthony Horowitz has confirmed that he’ll be speaking at the festival, which takes place 23-25 September.
Widely known for his hugely popular teen spy Alex Rider series, Horowitz is one of the UK’s most prolific and successful writers. He regularly writes for TV (Foyle’s War), film (Stormbreaker) and the stage (Mindgame). Horowitz joins BookFest on Saturday, 24 September to discuss The Twist of the Knife, published August 2022, his latest book in the Daniel Hawthorne crime series. Horowitz has written over forty books including many international bestsellers and was commissioned by the Conan Doyle and Ian Flemming estates to write new adventures for Holmes and Bond.
The festival begins on Friday evening with veteran environmental campaigner Jonathon Porritt, followed by bestselling author Ben Macintyre. Events feature many well-known faces: Theo Fennell in conversation with Richard E. Grant, Dame Eileen Atkins with Gyles Brandreth, Peter Snow and Ann MacMillan, Hilary and Michael Whitehall. BookFest 2022 also features a special screening event with Patricia Hodge in conversation with film and theatre critic Michael Billington.
