Britain is particularly bad at dismissing people just because they’re ageing. A new initiative, the brainchild of a local Barnes resident, is encouraging those over 55 to live their fullest lives and to help others
When reaching retirement age, many people, despite leading full and active lives, feel forgotten, becoming invisible as they grow older. A new, not-for-profit organisation, The Challenge Hub, is hoping to pull this age group together with three challenges – to continue learning, to be physically active and to continue to contribute to society.
Endorsed by Public Health England and the College of Medicine, the Hub offers an inter-acitve club (currently online only at the moment) to share events and opportunities.
