The Sheen Art Trail: 18 Apr-2 May
The Sheen Art Trail returns from 18 April to 2 May, creating a mapped route through East Sheen that pairs local artists with independent high street businesses. The initiative was set up by the Sheen Artists in partnership with East Sheen Village, bringing together the area’s creative community and its small retailers.
The aim is clear: to present work beyond studios and conventional gallery settings, give artists greater visibility, and encourage residents to explore and support local shops. Visitors follow a downloadable map, discovering and buying artwork displayed in shop windows and interiors along Sheen High Street.
Participating artists span painting, ceramics, illustration and photography. Among them is Jocelyn Horsfall ARPS, an award-winning photographic artist known for painterly, impressionistic studies of flowers and foliage. Her work focuses on colour, light and atmosphere, producing images that sit comfortably in both contemporary and traditional interiors. Other contributors include Jen Howe, Clare-Boyd-Smith, Lindy Barletta and Charlotte Hicks.
Host venues have included Sheen Sports, Sheen Pottery, Isabella Flowers, Harris & Hoole, Level Crossing Records and Poppy’s, alongside cafés, boutiques and specialist retailers across the high street. The result is a two-week exhibition embedded directly into the fabric of the neighbourhood.
