Art House Open Studios: 15 & 16 and 22 & 23 July
Art House offers a unique opportunity to visits artists in their own creative spaces – homes, studios or even the garden shed. You will get a chance to talk to each artist and learn about how they work. And, buy buying direct, you are not paying gallery prices.
This year, the local charity, Arts Richmond, has been commissioned by Richmond Arts Services to coordinate the Open Studios. There will be a mix of individual artists, artist group and local arts organisations displaying a huge range of work over two weekends.
Catherine Sweet, Arts Richmond Chair of Visual Arts, says: ‘I am delighted that Arts Richmond will be coordinating Art House this year. The festival is a wonderful opportunity for people to visit creative spaces, connecting with artists themselves and hear how their work evolves. It’s a vital chance for artists to meet new audiences, sell their work and build their creative networks, and one we are keen to ensure is sustainable for many years to come.’
Group exhibitions will be held at the FAAM gallery in Whitton, RuptureXIBIT in Hampton Wick and Landmark Arts Centre in Teddington. See artsrichmond.org.uk for full details or pick up the Art House Open Studios brochure from any library.
