Barnes & Mortlake History Society Lectures
The Barnes & Mortlake History Society, founded in 1955, promotes the local history of Barnes, Mortlake and East Sheen. The villages of Barnes and Mortlake are both recorded in the Doomsday Book of 1086. The Society has more than 400 members and host monthly lectures about local history. Upcoming lectures include:
16 Mar: Gunnersbury Park, The Place & The People at All Saints Church, East Sheen, 8pm
20 Apr: The Mercenary River at St Mary’s Church, Barnes, 8pm
