The Fixery: new community hub
The Fixery is a new community repair and reuse hub at Grove Gardens Chapel in Richmond, saved and restored by Habitats & Heritage. Bring your bike or household items to be fixed in return for a donation, stock up on cleaning and laundry products (bring your own containers), or refresh your wardrobe at the clothes swap. You can also browse pre-loved teddy bears and craft supplies, and enjoy QiGong taster sessions at 11.30am and 12.30pm. Tea and coffee are available from the on-site café, making it a great place to meet other local residents.
Habitats & Heritage has rescued the deconsecrated Victorian chapel from climate-induced subsidence and given it a new purpose, hosting workshops, volunteering, wellbeing activities, talks, walks, screenings, performances and community events.
Every Saturday, 11am-4pm. Grove Gardens Chapel, Lower Grove Rd, Richmond TW10 6HP (adjacent to the Old Burial Grounds, access by footpath off Lower Grove Road).
