Home-Start Richmond and Wandsworth looking for volunteers
Both Home-Start Richmond and Homestart Wandsworth is looking for volunteers to help support local families through weekly home visits, walk-and-talk sessions and family groups. Trained volunteers offer non-judgemental, practical help tailored to each household. One Richmond parent described the charity as ‘an actual lifesaver’ during her mental health struggles. Another, disabled after the birth of her second child, said her volunteer helped her bond with her baby and regain confidence. Residents and businesses are being encouraged to get involved, highlighting the charity’s vital role in building a strong, resilient community. Volunteers give 2–3 hours weekly after six weeks of training.
