Richmond Council is on track to plant more than 500 trees in the borough by the end of the planting season on 31 March. New Horse Chestnuts have been planted on Twickenham Green and Hawthorn and Cherry trees in St Margarets. North Sheen Rec is on the list for new trees, which are being planted as part of Richmond’s Climate Emergency Strategy. It’s great to know that however difficult things are for everyone right now, that trees are still being planted for our children’s future and for the planet.
