Wandsworth Council has had the brilliant idea of opening a Library of Things. So many of us buy things that we need but just don’t use that much. Did you know that a drill is only used for three minutes a year in most households? This library will hold items such as carpet cleaners, drills, projectors, sewing machines, hedge trimmers and steam cleaners. What a brilliant idea! You just sign up and then reserve an item online. Then just pick it up from a locker at Southside in Wandsworth, pay a small daily fee and return it when you’re finished. It’s a great way to not only save money but be more sustainable.
