The kids will want to know what’s on locally this Christmas. The great big Lights Switch on and local late night shopping events is fun for all the family.
Twickenham: Friday 21 Nov
A range of events, with the first light up on Twickenham Green, with the tree being switched on at 5pm. Carols from 4pm. The main event on King St starts at 3pm with musical entertainment from Powerjam, children’s choir and Richmond Brass Band. Free face painting at Patch. Makers Market 2-8pm
3-7pm, Twickenham Town Centre
Richmond: Thursday 27 Nov
Beautiful lights, festive stalls, live entertainment with the Wickedly Witches, Candy Cane Stilt Walkers and Giant Nutcrackers, great food, Santa. Lights switched on 5.45 by the Mayor of Richmond. 4-6pm George St
East Sheen: Friday 21 Nov
Festive celebrations begin at 4pm at Milestone Green where kids can meet Father Christmas, enjoy face painting and festive crafts, listen to local choirs singing carols as well as enjoy late night shopping at participating shops. More than 50 real Christmas trees will light up the streets.

Putney: Friday 28 Nov
The town lights up on the 28th and the festive season begins! From 3pm, St Mary’s Church Square will alive with the sounds of school choirs singing carols, festive performance, mulled wine and mince pies, plus lots of wonderful market stalls selling unique gifts and seasonal treats. 3pm, St Mary’s Church Square
Barnes:
2 Dec: White Hart Lane Christmas evening. Late night shopping, music and festive food,
5-8pm.
5 Dec: Barnes Christmas Fair. The village will be filled with wonderful stalls, local choirs, musicians, funfair rides and late-night shopping. 3-8pm.
