It looks like the building of the high rise blocks of flats on the current Homebase site on Manor Road will go ahead, after the Secretary of State for Housing, Robert Jenrick MP, decided not to question the current proposals. This is a blow not only to local residents, but also to Richmond Council, who had resolved to refuse the original application of 365 homes in 4 – 9 nine storey blocks. Not good news.
