New raised posts along Kew Road means that cycling locally will be a lot safer, according to Richmond Council. The posts will stay in place for up to 18 months and could become permanent if the current scheme works well. Other measures include the introduction of a mandatory 24-hour cycle lane in both directions, changing single yellow lines along the road to double yellow and introducing peak hour loading restrictions.
